願身

(願身, 愿身)

The resolve of a Buddha to be born in the Tuṣita heaven for the work of saving all beings, also idem [lang id =1028]願佛 above.

謂如來本願， 遍周法界， 誓度一切眾生， 故從兜率降生人間， 說法利生， 酬宿因願， 是名願身。 （梵語兜率， 華言知足。 ）
